Description

Savory Teriyaki Steak Rice Bowl is a delightful fusion of marinated steak, fluffy rice, and colorful veggies that brings together sweet and savory flavors in every bite. Perfect for family dinners or cozy nights in, this dish is not only easy to prepare but also visually stunning. With tender steak glazed in teriyaki sauce and fresh vegetables atop perfectly cooked rice, it’s a meal that satisfies both hunger and craving for deliciousness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Marinade: Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and half of the green onions in a bowl. Add sliced steak and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Cook the Rice: Prepare white rice according to package instructions; fluff and set aside.
  3. 3. Sear the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade (reserve marinade) and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned but medium rare. Let rest before slicing.
  4. 4. Stir-fry Vegetables: In the same skillet, add oil if necessary and sauté bell peppers for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. 5. Combine Everything: Return sliced steak to skillet with reserved marinade; stir on low heat for another minute until warmed through.
  6. 6. Serve warm over rice and garnish with remaining green onions.
