Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef tips (chuck roast or sirloin)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions and garlic: Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode, add olive oil, diced onions, and minced garlic. Cook until soft (3-4 minutes).
  2. Brown the beef: Add beef tips in batches, browning on all sides for about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Deglaze: Pour in beef broth to deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  4. Combine ingredients: Return beef tips to the pot along with Worcestershire sauce and remaining beef broth. Stir well.
  5. Pressure cook: Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 35 minutes. Allow natural pressure release.
  6. Make gravy: Remove beef tips; whisk flour with water until smooth, then stir into the pot on sauté mode until thickened (about 5 minutes).
