Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes. Whisk together flour, sugars, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix in yeast mixture, softened butter, and eggs until combined.
- Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5–7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Make the Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter in a bowl until smooth.
- Roll Out the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll into a rectangle (16×12 inches). Spread filling evenly over the dough.
- Forming Rolls: Roll tightly from one long side to form a log. Cut into twelve equal pieces and place cut side up in a greased baking dish.
- Bake: Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) while they rise. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
