- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread cubed stale bread on a baking sheet and toast for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add diced onion and chopped celery; sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine toasted bread, sautéed vegetables, pecans, cranberries, herbs, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Gradually add vegetable broth while mixing until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish; cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
